Some species of bacteria, including pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, Campylobacter jejuni and Salmonella, are capable of forming biofilms on surfaces of foods and food processing equipment. Some bacteria grow best in at 35° and 44°, and can be found in your food pantry, like Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria, which can cause severe illness and death in infants.
